Suha Salah Bashir
I am proud that I got the chance to be a graduate programme candidate. I found the job’s link online while I was searching for jobs in Sudan.
At first I was hesitant to apply since I did my B.Sc. in Engineering and the job post was general management. However knowing DAL group as one of the best companies in Sudan that enrich and develop their staff in various wok areas in addition to the positive environment, I applied to join DAL graduate programme.
The journey of the graduate is full of experiences as you go from one rotation to the other, getting to know new people (networking), learning new stuff and having different responsibilities every time. It impacts your life in different levels not only the knowledge and career progression. For me in my 1st rotation I got the chance to work with the team who established the School Milk Project and visited many schools to engage with kids from different areas in Khartoum, this experience changed my prospective regarding community work and where should people invest their effort.
Being part of the Graduate programme gave me the chance to learn different things that empowered me with skills and knowledge to move upward with my career. Working in different companies, sections and working with different people expanded my network, developed my communication skills and emotional intelligence, which changed my attitude in life.
For anyone thinking of applying to DAL graduate programme you should consider the opportunity to learn by experience and by working with competent mentors.
Also being part of graduates’ Batch, you will have great friends with equivalent mindset and capabilities that will walk this journey with you.
